Registering With the Environment and Resources Authority

Obligated producers register with ERA during the calendar year in which they first place packaging or packaging materials on the Maltese market.

ERA provides:

•  Form G: Initial producer registration.

•  Form H: Annual registration renewal and relevant reporting.

•  Form I: Producer deregistration.

•  Written mandate declaration: For applicable authorised representative appointments.

Following successful registration, ERA issues a registration number, which producers must display on invoices and fiscal receipts.

ERA identifies two authorised packaging PRO operators:
